Meet Tom Ingram
It seems like I have been in the cleaning industry my entire life. My grandfather sold Electrolux vacuum cleaners for 45 years. My father, Tom Ingram sold them for 27 years before opening Tom’s Vacuum Clinic in 1984. I was working on vacuums in our basement by the age of ten. I worked in the vacuum cleaner shop for over 10 years. I sold them, worked on them, and while running the central vacuum division. I changed careers after my father passed in 2000.
Fast forward a few years. I decided I wanted to work for myself and since I had a background in cleaning it was a natural fit to go into carpet and tile cleaning. I opened up What A Difference – Carpet & Tile Cleaning in March of 2013. Shortly after that, I took my first IICRC class in St Louis. I was now a certified Carpet Cleaning Technician. Fast forward a few more years, I’ve received additional training in upholstery cleaning, odor removal, tile and grout cleaning/sealing, hardwood floor maintenance, and professional spot treatment.

What A Difference – Carpet & Tile Cleaning was opened in March 2013 by Tom Ingram. We are a small family-owned business based in Lexington KY. Our normal service area is Lexington, Nicholasville, Wilmore, Lancaster, and Versailles. We are fully insured and have workmen’s compensation.
